Location scouting is a major part of video planning.
Once the video production team has decided on their ideas and their wants, the process of location scouting can begin. The process of handling locations may include legal permissions.
The suitability of a location can have a number of factors. The following are some examples:
- Financial viability;
- Logistical feasibility;
- Availability of added resources, e.g. parking and electricity;
- Permissions to shoot;
The idea of location scouting is to provide options for reaching the vision of the involved parties.

Then, once the team has decided on the location, a member or a team of Marketing Voice is sent for a final scouting report, before the filming can start.
At this point, we also deal with other minor details.
For example, this may include added permissions, insurance, and work permits.
Depending on the needs then, other finer details can be rechecked, e.g. budget allocation and timing, to make the video production process smoother.
Location scouting also has elements of the unknown; unforeseen problems that can occur during the filming process.
